Day 1529 - Friday, Hooray!

Greetings, Bloggy TGIFers!

It's Friday - Hooray! It's also the last day of April. Goodbye, April - Hello May!

You know what to do - march in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Fri-day! Fri-day!'

See - Savannah is marching too.

This is a photo from last summer- what a difference a year makes!

However, Savi's still wearing totally cute tie dye this year too.

Changing subjects - did you know that there is a great fossil site and museum in East Tennessee?

They have found incredible skeletons like an elephant, a red panda, saber toothed cat, bear, ancient rhino, a camel, alligators, turtles, and more!

The site was discovered in 2000 during a road-widening project.

For more information go to:
http://www.grayfossilmuseum.com/

Or read about it on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Fossil_Site

I HAVE to go there - but not today. TTFN and have a nice weekend!

Day 1528 - Buns of Steel!

Greetings, Bloggy Dogs and Burgs!

I have a training class at work this morning, so my schedule is a bit different. I even put in a wash this morning, which is in the dryer as we speak.

I am eating breakfast on a hot dog bun - egg whites and fat free cheese on a low calorie, high fiber wheat bun.

That sounds awful, I know, but trust me, it is YUMMY. I wouldn't lie about bread, folks.

By the way - I usually call hot dog buns hot dog ROLLS, but Charlie insists they are buns. WHAT-EVER.

I just tried a new kind of hot dog BUN, Sara Lee's '80 Calories and Delightful' Wheat Hot Dog buns. They are awesome.

I also buy the 'Whitewheat' and 'Healthy Life' brands, but in some ways, I like these new ones better. They are super soft, and tasty too!

I get sick of the same things for breakfast - do you?

Sometimes I have oatmeal, sometimes I have an egg sandwich, sometimes I have veggie burgers on english muffins, and sometimes I have leftover grilled chicken and put it on a muffin or roll for breakfast.

If I eat cereal, it is usually in the evening when I can't think of something for supper.

What do YOU eat for breakfast?? TTFN!

Day 1527 - Happy Birthday, Marcia!

Greetings, Bloggy Birthday Celebrants -

It's Marcia's birthday - Happy Birthday, Marcia!

Here's a photo of Marcia taken at Storyland in New Hampshire.

Marcia is my big sister, so of course I was jealous of her when I was little.

Marcia was one of the names in the 'Name Game' -remember? Marcia, Marcia, Bo-Barcia, Banana-Fanna-Fo-Farcia, Fee Fye Mo Marcia, Marcia!

Then, of course Marcia was the most popular Brady Bunch sister. (repeat after me, Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!)

Marcia decided that John Lennon was more handsome and interesting than Paul McCartney, so I HAD to fall in love with John Lennon too.

Marcia decided that Peter Tork was more handsome and interesting than Davy Jones, so I HAD to fall in love with Davy Jones AND Peter Tork.

What a tragic childhood I had, right? Wrong!

Happy Birthday, Marcia! Have fun!

Day 1526 - Drivin' me CRAZY!

Greetings, Bloggy Road Warriors!

Savannah, I hope the other kids on tricycles don't drive the way the people do on the highways around here.

People don't follow any of the rules!

WHY IS THAT??

They use the breakdown lane as a travel lane.
They use exit lanes as passing lanes.
They block drivers from merging.
They don't swap places with you when you need to merge left and they need to merge right.
They can't wait to pass someone on a double yellow line.

One of the few times my mother has been known to use bad language is when she is driving and someone does something stupid.

I see some of these 'travel atrocities' on a daily basis. Sometimes I just don't feel like getting on the highway, but it takes too long to go via back roads.

Uh, come to think of it, some of those 'travel atrocities' occur on the back roads too.

Maybe I should become a kinder, gentler driver and stop giving the bad drivers the finger...

Be careful, everyone, and don't become one of THOSE drivers!

Day 1525 - Monday, Monday

Greetings, Monday Morning Blah-gers!

Here's a picture of Savannah with some orange juice in hand.

I like to look at her hands - they're so cute and tiny. I do worry if she has a glass in her hand, being a paranoid grandma. She didn't drop it, though!

Not having any little kids at home, I am not used to all the scary things kids do!

When I see kids at play being normal - climbing on stuff, balancing, swinging, jumping, screaming - it scares me! I am sure I'm not alone there...

It was wild and windy today - a beautiful day, but very strong winds. It reminded me of New England, and I love that (Charlie hates windy days!).

I had the windows down in my car when I went out to run errands. It was so LOUD in the car with the wind buffeting the windows it made me laugh.

I filled up the car with gas, went to Sams Club, went to Wal-mart, dropped off a bag of clothes at Goodwill, went to the post office, and came home to crash (and put away groceries).

Have a nice Monday and TTFN!

Day 1524 - The Appliance That Laid a Golden Egg

Greetings, Blogregation!

Once upon a time, far, far away in a small town in Tennessee, there was a refrigerator named Amana.

Amana was just an average refrigerator, living her life, running each day, performing her job.

She was getting old, and had experienced some periodic and embarassing leakage incidents, which were cured by Doctor Charlie.

But deep in her heart, she secretly longed to be special, a cut above the rest...

One day, she knew what to do. Unannounced, and unasked for, Amana gave a special gift to her family.

Lo and behold, she produced a miracle ice cube, all by herself!

She ejected the miracle cube with no human intervention. It rolled out of the ice dispenser and landed on the floor, alerting the family, who were suitably surprised and impressed.

Thanks, Amana! We look forward to your next offering!

Day 1523 - Lightning and Thunder and Bears, Oh My!

Greetings, Bloggy Storm Chasers!

I don't know if this is a real photo or not, I just grabbed it off the web.

We are supposed to have strong storms today, IF the weather forecast is correct.

We need the rain, but we don't need hail or tornadoes, and we also don't need severe weather this weekend.

There are lots of proms this weekend, and some of them are outdoors. Yuck!

The Music City Marathon is scheduled for today, and I am not sure if they will run or not. EEeek!

The Franklin Main Street Festival (Cheryl, remember going there?) is today and tomorrow, and when it rains, it really messes things up. Drat!

And lets not forget, I have water aerobics this morning, which will be cancelled if there is lightning. Jeepers!

Fingers crossed, and stay dry!

Friday, April 23, 2010

Day 1522 - Fish FRY-day!

Greetings, TGI-Fish-Fry-dayers!

It's FRY-day, Hooray!

You know what to do - march in a circle chanting 'FRY-day! FRY-day! FRY-day!'

Charlie and his buddy brought home lovely fish filets yesterday from Kentucky Lake.

In my crystal ball I foresee a 100% chance of a fish fry in the near future!!

This photo was taken yesterday morning, with Charlie holding a largemouth bass. Nice fish, Charlie!

I have to tell you about a dream I had two nights ago - after the 'bear' story.

I dreamed we had a full sized bear at home, and we had already left on vacation when I realized we couldn't leave the bear alone while we were gone, it would destroy the place.

We had to return, and my plan at the time was to give the bear to the local zoo. When we got home, the bear (in my dream) had turned into an elephant. I didn't notice that in my dream.

The dream continued, and I ended up giving the elephant as a WEDDING GIFT to a couple whose party we attended, and they were HAPPY about it! Is that ridiculous, or what??

TTFN and have a great FRY-day!

Day 1521 - The Law of Percentages

Greetings, Bloggy Mathematicians!

Here's a cute photo of Miss Savi with Great Grandpa Gil and Great Grammy Peggy...

I had to make my own foame' latte' this morning (with real milk, not lactose free!) because Charlie is fishing.

There is a small rain chance - 20%. Charlie says a 20% chance of rain is an 80% chance of fishing!

I think we read a card that gave us that idea...

That is great because you can apply that technique to any activity.

A 20% chance of rain is also an 80% chance of golf, or a trip to the beach, or getting the lawn mowed, or insert your favorite outdoor activity.

If it's SNOW (for the Mainers out there), you can say a 20% chance of snow is an 80% chance of being able to make it out of the house!

TTFN and have a 100% nice day!

Day 1520 - Bear Story or Hair Story

Greetings, Bloggy Midweekers!

I have a couple of stories to tell - do you want to hear about BEAR, or HAIR?

Since I've posted a cute photo of Savi's beautiful locks, I'll start with the HAIR story.

If you know me, you know that I have been 'hair challenged' for several months.

Well, I have started to grow hair again, and what do I have to say about that happy event?

I found a &^%$ CHIN HAIR yesterday. Gross!

Just when I should be all happy about hair of any kind, I take it back! Couldn't my follicles be a bit more selective??? Blech.

Onward to the BEAR story...

Charlie heard a story from our next door neighbor, who heard a story from the cable man, who heard a story from another customer that there was a BEAR sighted about a mile from here! EEEEEeeeeeek!

The cable man had asked if the horses next door were exhibiting any skittish behavior and running. Evidently where the bear appeared, the horses were going crazy, and someone went to investigate and spotted a bear.

I hope that's not true, actually, but I'll certainly keep an eye out.

If I see one - I'll scare him off by flashing my HAIR at him.

Be careful, and have a nice Midweek!

Day 1519 - Oldies but Goodies...

Greetings, Bloggy Baby Boomers!

Here's the baby - by the way, our cute little Savi. She's holding that pretzel like a cigar, by the way...

Why did I say 'By the way' twice in two sentences? I'm going to leave it in, just to show you that I did it...

For all the Baby Boomers out there, do you remember these TV shows? I miss them, but my memory is probably giving them undeserved credit.

These are not in chronological order, by the way...

Gidget, Diver Dan, The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, Lost in Space, and let's not forget that game show played in a Lagoon - Treasure Island!

There were lots of other shows I liked, but for some reason those were the first ones to surface...

I also have to mention 'Dark Shadows' which was on after school. I loved it.

Okay folks - what were YOUR favorite shows from the 60's?

TTFN and have a nice Tuesday!

Day 1518 - No 'Pane, No Gain!

Greetings, Monday morning blah-gers!

Here's a story I forgot to tell last week.

Please note the decorative and attractive propane tank in the photo taken this winter...

Way back on January 5th, I mentioned on the blog that we needed fuel, that we were in the red zone on our propane tank. We promptly got a delivery, and were happy to have it.

Last weekend, we had a cold snap, and woke up to a chilly house, about 62 degrees.

Being spoiled to having a fairly level temperature, Charlie turned up the heat on the thermostat. We waited. Nothing happened.

We mulled this over for awhile, discussing what the issues might be.

I asked Charlie (who was already chilled), to go outside and check the propane tank. He wasn't anxious to, but he did, and reported WE HAD NO FUEL LEFT. That has never happened to us in the 7.5 years we have lived here - we've always had plenty of fuel after the January fill to see us through till summer, when we get our 'summer fill'.

We speculated that the combination of a super-cold winter, me being home, and a burner repair we had in March (meaning prior to then the unit might not have been burning as efficiently) all contributed to us burning more fuel this year, and RUNNING OUT.

We also asked the propane people to check the system for leaks. They tested it, and everything checked out OK. We got the minimum delivery, which still worked out to almost $500.

Alls well that ends well, but know you know - No PRO-pane, no gain!

Day 1517 - Exercise Can Be Hazardous to Your Health, or Others!

Greetings, Bloggy Fitness Experts!

Some people are quite coordinated. They take Zumba, do complex step aerobics, and probably don't trip over their own feet very much.

Other people are quite the opposite. They TRY to do the very same things, but the same movements and motions are much more challenging.

A friend of mine is quite fit, but usually does her exercise 'solo'. Here are some reasons WHY! She told me these stories herself, I am not making them up.

She took a jump rope class at the health club, and accidently hooked the woman in front of her around the neck with her jump rope. I am sure that didn't go over well.

Another time - she was supposed to punch a punching bag, and ended up punching herself by accident.

Another time she closed her eyes so she could concentrate, and ended up travelling to the back of the room!

Now she notices her classmates giving her a wide berth during class. Wonder why??

TTFN and have a nice Sunday!

Day 1516 - The Weekend is HERE!

Greetings, Bloggy Weekenders!

We had a great time at the Omni Hut restaurant last night with Buddy Joe and other friends. There were 10 of us at the table, and we ate and chatted until nearly 9:30! That is WAY late for me.

See www.omnihut.com for more information.

The Omni Hut is a one of a kind restaurant. Decorated in Polynesian Tiki bar theme - it is BYOB. The paneling on the walls is made of straw mats, with bamboo pole accents. There are fish tanks, and memorabilia, and tiki art, and Hawaiian music playing.

Charlie had a seafood platter, and I had the Hawaiian feast, which features several different appetizers, followed by a plate of chow mein and fried rice. The meals also included egg drop soup and hot bread out of the oven.

They serve the biggest tempura-style fried shrimp I have ever seen. I am SOOO having them next visit... We were too full for dessert, but they had some neat looking ones.

Hey - TY and SY - we need to go there sometime...

TTFN and have a nice Saturday!

Day 1515 - A day late and a dollar short!

Greetings, Bloggy TGIFers -

It's Friday! You know what to do - march in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Fri-day! Fri-day!'

So - YESTERDAY was the fifteenth, and it's a shame that it wasn't day '1515' on the fifteenth! Ah, well.

Changing subjects - do you see what I saw in THIS picture? See the little violet plant imbedded in the moss on the tree? It was awesome!

The Opryland Hotel employs lots of people who spend their days creating those effects in the Opryland atrium rooms. Nature did it for free. Go, Nature!

Not much time for bloggage this morning...

Have a nice Friday and a nice weekend! TTFN!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 1514 - Tax Deadline Day!

Greetings, Bloggy 'Mail your taxes in NOW or pay the Interest if you Owe'-ers!

And if you never pay, it's 'Heigh, Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to jail we go...'

One year I received a letter from the IRS that I owed some extra amount on my taxes. I had already received my refund, so I thought 'What is THIS?'

I disagreed that I owed them something, but I just wrote them a check and sent it in.

I did, and a month or two (or six) later they sent me an additional refund.

Sheesh.

One more funny story... not about the IRS...

We had a message on the answering machine yesterday that cracked me up. It was a medical office reminding ME to remind CHARLIE that he has an appointment tomorrow.

That receptionist is a really funny lady to have thought ahead to leave that message for us to listen to and laugh about.

Have a nice Thursday, and don't forget your taxes!

Day 1513 - Got a Hitch in My Giddy-up...

Greetings, Bloggy Midweekers!

Can you believe it is almost TAX DEADLINE TIME? Better 'git er done'!

Here's another cool picture from our Sunday drive - an embedded tree root crossing the pavement.

Yes, I love trees, and taking pictures of trees and tree roots. Is that weird?

Do you know what a 'Hitch in your Giddy-Up' is?

Charlie says it sometimes, and we were watching the movie 'Walk the Line' - about Johnny Cash, and I heard it again.

In the slang form when people are saying it to each other, it means a limp or a crooked walk, or something like that.

In the origins of the phrase, it meant a problem with the reins that prevented the horse or horses from continuing until the problem was fixed.

Have a nice Wednesday, and keep your Giddy-up Movin' Along!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Day 1512 - Twofer Tuesday

Greetings, Bloggy Twofers!

Here's an awesome picture that is appropriate for 'Twofer Tuesday'.

We went for a ride Sunday on the Natchez Trace parkway. This photo was taken at Metal Ford.

There is a short walking trail next to the Buffalo River, and a dry mill race walk. I spotted this shot on the mill race walk.

Can you see what's happening here?

We've got a little 'birds and the bees' romance going on here between these two trees!

Mister Tree on the left is craggy and rugged and wiry. Ms. Tree on the right is smooth and pretty and plump - maybe a touch over her BMI (Bark Mass Index), but nobody cares out in the WOODS, do they?

Mr. Tree took YEARS and YEARS to grow a limb long enough to hug Ms. Tree - but he did it. WHY am I not surprised? That is a marvel of perseverance. Well done, Mister Tree!

TTFN and if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 1511 - I've Gotta Crow...

Greetings, Monday morning BLAH-gers!

Here is the album cover of Mary Martin's Broadway recording of 'Peter Pan' - my favorite.

My grandmother owned this album, and always played it for us. I have it on CD now, of course!

I have a 'Peter Pan' story to share...

A friend of mine has three children. Her oldest is a teenage boy in high school. He is active in band, and student government, and has also performed in some high school performances.

Her husband would prefer the son go out for football rather than music and drama - but he's just not a 'beefy' kid and is doing just fine in the activities he likes.

Well - Grandma came over for Easter, and brought an album of pictures of 'Dad' growing up.

Guess what? As the family looked through the picture album - what was this? A photo and newspaper article about DAD in his starring role as PETER PAN... which DAD had never mentioned.

So now we know where the musical talent in the family came from - whether or not he wants to admit it.

TTFN and have a nice Monday!

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Day 1510 - Yadda Yadda Yadda

Greetings BLAH-gregation!

I'm not feeling very BLAH-GGY today. (just kidding)

I'll just take my BLAH-GGY self and enjoy my BLAH-GGY Sunday without thinking up something to BLAH-G about.

If that gives you the BLAHs - I do apologize.

Have a very nice Sunday, though!

Charlie and I might go for a drive and enjoy the awesome spring weather we're having.

BLAH-G at ya later, gators!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Day 1509 - Spring Cleaning

Greetings, Bloggy Weekenders!

Do you remember I mentioned 'Spilt Milk' on the blog yesterday? Well, I dreamed about spilt milk that night! Creepy!

I thought of something funny, driving home yesterday.

It was 'If someone says they can eat off MY floor - it isn't because it's clean, it's because you could probably survive for a good long time on the crumbs!'

I need to buy a new vacuum that is lighter than our current one.

I need to get serious about decluttering, and get serious about spring cleaning!

However, if I don't, that just means I'm enjoying the weekend - it's supposed to be beautiful, perfect weather.

TTFN and have a nice weekend, no matter what you do!

Friday, April 09, 2010

Day 1508 - Friday, Hooray!

Greetings, Bloggy TGIFers!

It's Friday, Hooray!

You know what to do - march in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Fri-day! Fri-day!'

Here's a sweet picture of Savannah. I might have already posted this one, but I just love the expression on her face.

Well - the work week is almost over, and it has been a very busy one.

I have a funny bagel story from yesterday...

I had my last appointment with my Columbia physical therapist yesterday, and wanted to get her some egg bagels (her favorite) from MY favorite bagel place. The poor thing has been eating Lenders bagels from the grocery store instead of delicious, wonderful bagel bakery bagels.

I went over to buy some after work (mistake, I should have gone earlier) - and they were starting to run low on a lot of their bagel flavors.

They had FIVE egg bagels left, and I told the clerk that I wanted them all. He started to pull them out of the bin, and DROPPED ONE. I cringed, but told him that it was all right, that four egg bagels were better than none. He was very relieved.

The clerk then proceeded to tell me a story about a man who lambasted him right and left for dropping a bagel that he had wanted. I felt sorry for him!

So the moral of the story is - there is no use crying over spilt milk or 'bagel droppings'. Ha!

TTFN and have a nice Friday!

Thursday, April 08, 2010

Day 1507 - Is it Friday Eve?

Greetings, Bloggy Friday-Evers!

The week is really flying by, isn't it?

For a little while yesterday I thought it was Tuesday, then I knew it was Wednesday but thought it felt more like a Monday.

Take a look at Savannah's hands in this photo - she is holding on to the streamers on her new tricycle rather than the handles!

That is hilarious - but why WOULD a child know to hold the handles vs. the streamers ON the handles? Think about it!

Changing subjects - what is UP with gas prices? UP is what's UP.

I am so sick of gas going up. Regular gas at some stations in Franklin yesterday was $2.95 a gallon. I paid $2.72 at Sams Club and felt like I was lucky. Sheesh.

We are supposed to have rain and thunderstorms today, and a couple days of cooler weather. The Forsythias, Bradford Pears, Redbud trees, AND Dogwood trees are all in bloom at the same time, it is GORGEOUS here...

TTFN and have a nice Thursday!

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

Day 1506 - Midweek and Midlife

Greetings, Bloggy Middlers -

Here's Miss Savannah, caught on camera with her hand in the bowl of potato chips!

She just loves chips, just like her grandmother...

I have a healthcare story to tell, without naming names.

I was travelling a long distance to one medical appointment, just because the place closer to me didn't take my insurance.

Well - there is something called 'gap coverage' that allows you (with approval) to use an out of network place IF you are travelling more than 'X' number of miles to go there, and there is another place closer.

So anyway - after getting approval for 'gap' coverage, I got a letter in the mail that my insurer had a new contract with the 'out of network' place, and that they are now 'In Network'.

Anyway - to make a long story short - Murphy's law was with me on that one.

After jumping through all kinds of hoops and phone calls and emails and more phone calls to get the gap coverage approved, THE DAY AFTER THE APPROVAL the place became a regular 'IN NETWORK' place.

Sheesh...

TTFN and have a nice Wednesday!

Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Day 1505 - Twofer Tuesday

Greetings, Bloggy Twofers!

There are TWO babies in the photo - Savi and her cousin.

Savannah really enjoyed having another child at her party - and really enjoyed all her toys too!

We almost set a record high yesterday - after a freezing cold winter it was 86 degrees yesterday afternoon - hot, hot, hot.

That is TOO hot for spring, but I will say that it was lovely in the morning and late afternoon. I had the air conditioning running in the car AND the window down to feel the breeze.

Of course, at work it is usually hot in the morning with the sun on the windows, then freezing in the afternoon with the air conditioning going full blast. What is it about office buildings that the climate is usually boiling or freezing, not COMFORTABLE. I need a sweater at work and a t-shirt outside!

Off to the health club again early for a swim - then off to work.

TTFN and have a nice Tuesday!

Monday, April 05, 2010

Day 1504 - Have a dandy-lion Monday!

Greetings, Bloggy Dandies and Dandelions...

Yes, here I am again- with my extra cool dandelion head. Kudos to my sister for pointing that out.

Can you believe I actually have CLOTHES that match that color? Yes, indeedy, I do, and not just this shirt.

My son read a quote to me once, after agreeing with it heartily.

'If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn!'

He kept saying 'That is SO true!', and I agree with him.

Dandelions ARE a lovely part of spring - except when you are trying to keep them off YOUR lawn.

A brand new work week is here - and Charlie and I are going to the pool to swim before I go to work.

TTFN and have a great Monday!

Day 1503 - Happy Easter!

Greetings, Easter Bunnies, or Easter Bloggies!

Here's a picture of me (courtesy of the webcam on our laptop) with my fuzzy Easter Hat.

I wore this outfit yesterday and got several comments from people, and a lot of grins.

I can't tell if I look more like a chicken or a duck. What do you think?

I'm not going to write much, I am going to make breakfast.

Have a very Happy Easter, whatever you are doing today!

TTFN!

Day 1502 - Easter Eve!

Greetings, and Happy Easter Eve!

Hang your pastel-colored stockings tonight for the Easter Bunny to fill... Er... Maybe not.

Here's a lovely tulip-filled Easter basket to enjoy - isn't that awesome?

We are having thunderstorms at the moment. They are supposed to go by quickly, so I hope I can still go to water aerobics this morning.

Charlie is going turkey hunting while I am at the pool. Speaking of turkey...

What are you having for Easter dinner? We have had many things over the years - roast beef, ham, turkey, or lamb.

We are going to have the King crab legs that I bought on sale after Valentines Day. YUM-O!

I am SURE I have never had crab for Easter before. I also bought some sweet rolls (Hawaiian rolls) and zucchini and onions to put on the grill. Sound good? You bet!

Happy Easter Eve, everyone! TTFN!

Day 1501 - Happy Easter Weekend!

Greetings, Bloggy Easter Weekenders-

It's Friday, and it's Good Friday- Hooray! I have fond memories of straw Easter bonnets and white gloves and new clothes and shiny patent leather shoes (usually too tight) at Easter time.

No- I don't have today off. Do you?

You know what to do - march in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Fri-day! Fri-day!'

Here is a great photo of Savannah playing with her new Raggedy Ann doll. Cute, huh?

Changing subjects - I was looking at swimsuits on eBay - (yes, summer is coming) and saw a funny misspelling.

The listing described a beautiful, SLIMING swimsuit. Not slimming. SLIMING.

Loved that - it made me laugh out loud.

Hey - I bought a pair of those funny sneakers that have a curved sole and are supposedly 'Leg Toning'. I bought the Curves brand, which cost half of what the Sketchers brand are going for.

I got mine on eBay, I'd heard that Avon has them backordered. I've only worn them a little around the house so far, but we are allowed to wear tennis shoes tomorrow at work, so I am planning to wear them all day tomorrow.

TTFN and have a great Easter Weekend!

Thursday, April 01, 2010

Day 1500 - Hello April and Watch out for April Fools!

Greetings, Bloggy Pranksters!

Yes, it is April 1st, or April Fools Day.

Every year I tell the story about starting my first computer job on April Fools Day.

The GM took several of us into his office and announced he'd made a mistake, and they wouldn't be able to hire all of us.

We stood in shock, looking at each other, wondering who would be let go on their first day. Then the GM said 'April Fools!'

It wasn't funny to US!

So - are you playing any pranks on anyone today? If so - tell us, please!

I can't think of anything easy AND good to do, so I probably won't do anything.

Happy April, and don't be FOOLED today!
