And my big moose does need surgery. He will undergo a splenectomy today and, luckily, the vet takes payments over 3 months time. If they didn't, we'd be facing an even tougher choice...one that i really did NOT want to make, as our baby is only 3!!! Still going to be touchy...this is not an easy surgery and many things can go wrong...just waiting. :(

So the doc was surprised today when she opened up my dog to find that his problem was a terribly enlarged liver due to a clot that occured from some sort of heart failure!! He didn't need anything but fluid removed. Not great chances of surviving, but he DID make it thru the surgery, so that's encouraging!
