Day 1953 - An App a Day Keeps the Doctor Away
Greetings, Bloggy Geeks, Droids and iPhoners!
I don't have a smart phone. I don't have an iPhone or iPad. I don't have a Droid. I don't have a tablet.
In short, I am WAY obsolete.
There are SO many apps out there to make our technology-filled lives even more dependent on these things. I mean that in the nicest way. My next phone WILL be a smart phone, and I WILL have apps, I just don't have them yet. I should be writing apps, because people are making astronomical amounts of money at a dollar or two a pop.
Here's just a few apps of interest for ya...
There are phone apps where you can scan a barcode in the grocery store and get the nutrition information for the product. I think that is awesome.
Think tattoos are cool, but don't want to have them? There is an app where you can add fake ones onto your photos so you LOOK 'tatted' but don't mark yourself up for life.
And I just heard about apps where a guy can track his girlfriends' (plural) monthly cycles, and there are apps for women to track their fertility or 'horniness' cycles.
If you could invent an app, what would you invent?

I don't have many apps other than the standard iphone ones; I added Pandora, Flight Track, SFMuni, Groupon and games Bejeweled and Angry Birds which i have yet to play. I'm dying for the Flashlight App and some others that require an i4phone which I am getting on July 16 when my contract ends for the i3phone.
Karen you'll think you died and went to heaven when you get a smart phone--the best part is having emails and Facebook on the phone since I don't have a computer at home. Heather ask Mike to switch phones with you--the Droid is very popular.
On another topic, I loved the headline in the Lewiston Sun Journal today "Heart Lecture Interrupted by Heart Attack"--it shouldn't make me laugh but it did. Happy ending, as the cardiologist giving the lecture, nurses who were with him, and an EMT team saved the man.
