Day 1921 - Mmmmmm....Pancakes!

Greetings, Bloggy Griddlers-

It's Friday, Hooray!

You know what to do, march in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Pan-cakes! Fri-day! Pan-cakes!'

I just LUV me some pancakes!

How about you?

I like little silver dollar pancakes, plain pancakes, pigs-in-a-blanket pancakes, and pancakes with 'stuff' in 'em like blueberries or pecans.

I also like crepes, which are super-thin pancakes. If you have never had ham and cheese crepes with syrup, you are truly missing something.

I prefer unflavored syrup though. Most of the time, anyway!

How about you?

So, I'll bet you're asking yourself 'WHY is she talking about pancakes, anyway?'

A lady at water aerobics told me about a breakfast/brunch place in Nashville that I MUST MUST go to someday. Your table has a cooktop GRIDDLE, and you cook your own pancakes!! They provide several choices of pancake batter and all the fixins. You can even load up your own home fry creation. YUM YUM YUM.

Here's the link if you want to check it out! Be sure to look at the menu, they even offer gluten free pancake batter and gluten free bread for french toast.

I wanna go... I wanna go... I wanna go... I wanna go...

TTFN and have a super special Memorial Weekend!

Comments:
Karen, I go to a restaurant so I don't have to cook! Eric is assistant manager at the Melting Pot, a special occasion restaurant
where diners do cook their own.

For a full dinner, you cook: "appetizer"-cheese fondue with all kinds of choices of veggies, bread cubes, etc.; main course of fresh seafood, beef or chicken, and vegetables, cooked in a hot broth (not oil); and finally, chocolate fondue, with choices of fruit, sponge cake, etc.

When I first went there, one of the servers said, this is the only place I know of where you pay $40 to cook your own food. Pretty funny.

Hi Nancy!

We have a Melting Pot restaurant in downtown Nashville. See how trendy we are? xx

I loved the Melting Pot in San Diego!

The Red Sox are winning, and tomorrow is my birthday--what could be better? Pancakes maybe!
