Day 1905 - Midweek and Midlife

Greetings, Bloggy Middlers!

Here's a sweet picture of Savi from February, sleeping in her 'big girl' bed. Isn't that a peaceful photo?

Sometimes there is NOTHING as wonderful as crawling into BED, BED, BED.

When I was a kid and my mother made homemade bread, we were allowed to have a slice, hot from the oven, in BED.

When I was a kid and had to climb the stairs sometimes in the dark to get to my room, I would tell myself that if I could just get to the BED, I would be safe.

When I was a kid, my mother would make the bed up with sheets that were fresh from the clothesline. I would get IN the bed and she would cover me with the top sheet. It smelled SO WONDERFUL.

Ah... If I keep talking about BED, I won't want to go to work today!

TTFN and have a nice Wed (or BED) nesday.

Comments:
I love this pic. She's so sweet when she's sleeping!!! (not so much awake, lately. ahhh, terrible 3's)
I have a craft day today with my friend Page in Rehoboth, then dinner at Lyn's tonight. Hopefully Jade Lynn will be there. Savi just loves seeing her!!!

Such a little sleeping beauty! Heather, remember when Savi wouldn't let Jadelyn go into the room where Grammy GiGi slept?

Karen, such nice memories of bedtime. I too remember sheets right off the line when I was little, and the wonderful feel and smell of the out-of-doors!

One of my favorite 'sheets' memories is of summer in Rehoboth with the windows open, just a sheet on, watching the fireflies thru the window. Also, wintertime when you would shake the sheet in the dark and it would 'spark' with electricity. :)
