Day 1878 - I won! I won!

Greetings, Bloggy Scrabble Champs!

Yesterday was National Scrabble Day, I apologize for not mentioning it. (not!)

We had a Scrabble contest at work to celebrate.

You had to blindly draw 7 letters (fake tiles) from a bag, then make the highest scoring word possible with what you have drawn.

Mine was the highest score, mostly because I was able to use every letter.

This is called a 'Bingo', and you get 50 bonus points.

So the Bingo turned a 12 pointer into a 62 pointer, but it only beat the next highest score by ONE point!

So - I am sure you want to know what my winning word was? ReEvict.

TTFN and have a nice Thursday!

Comments:
And WHAT did you WIN??? That is a fun game! Cute idea.
Had a half day at the Psych office today. Dr's appt, and trying to finish up a bracelet and tutu that NEED to go out in the mail asap. Almost time to go pick up Savi and go to Lyn's for supper, though. My days are way too busy again!!

And before I forget, I wrote on FB, but for those who don't have it or didn't see it... I decided to make Savi some fish sticks for supper last night. She immediately told me she didn't like them before I even opened the bag! I asked "have you ever HAD a fish stick?" She answered, "no" "Then you dont Know you don't like them, do you!" Her reply? "I don't know I like them either." Stinker. How does a 3 year old get so smart??

Is ReEvict a word? I checked with our eviction specialist here and he's never heard the word either. Is it in the dictionary?

Speaking of games, while emptying my storage locker which has held John Heinrich's stuff since 2001, I found a commemorative 1935 Monopoly set in a metal box containing everything intact! Beautiful pieces too. I am planning to use it--with no TV when I was a kid we played monopoly for hours. (Did you Peggy?) Blogees--plan to play monopoly with me in Maine!

John also had all early generations of Nintendo systems and Sega Genesis, complete with consoles, individual controls, manuals, more than 100 games (from early 90's?)--I'm keeping to find out if Eric or someone wants to sell on EBay. Otherwise, Goodwill. There are 4 or 5 boxes and I'm not shipping them to Maine!

John also had several boxes of beautiful stoneware dishes- plates, bowls, mugs, pitcher, serving tray, plus glasses, knives, silverware, wooden salad bowl set, etc. I had forgotten he had those (not sure he ever used them). I already kept his pots and pans. I thought I would keep for Eric (who could care less) but I'm keeping them and shipping to Maine because they are all new or almost new and really good quality. They were packed in 1999 after John died by professional movers so are in good shape and still look like new. On Sat we are going to complete getting everything out of the locker to take to Goodwill or my place, and no more monthly fees!!

Congratulations, Karen! Who cares if ReEvict is a word or not, it won! Heather, yes, you are busy, and I can see Savannah will be keeping you on your toes! And Nancy, what a find from John!

Today was cousin Shirley's funeral. Sad but meaningful. We did enjoy meeting the relatives on my Uncle Roy and Aunt Myrtle's side of the family! Also Bradley's son, Bruce was there, as he knows Shirley from attending the same church.

Hi Nancy - YOU would say 'look it up on the internet'! Yes, I double checked it on dictionary.com.

;-)

Heather - I won a retro, boxed, deluxe edition scrabble game! xxx
