Day 1877 - Gas Attack!
Greetings, Bloggy Fuel Conservationists!
I LOVE this picture, it fits really well with what I want to talk about today.
I am pondering something...
My CRV got better gas mileage returning from Florida than it did going to Florida.
So - what was different?
The weather was a little warmer on the return, AND we used a higher grade of gasoline.
If you use a higher octane fuel than usual, MIGHT your car get better gas mileage when driving on the highway?
Inquiring minds want to know, but everything I looked at on the web so far said NO, absolutely not.
Do you agree or disagree?

Were you going a little slower on the way home, that might make a difference. Paying more for a higher grade of gasoline would probably break even on cost. I hate these gas prices!
I would think that you would get more miles from a better gas! I get more miles from mobil than a crappy little watered down station, so why wouldn't it work on higher grades also? Interesting!!!
Started my Wed, Thurs office job today! Working for a Psych office in Tiverton. Doing their dictations as well. Hopefully I can get full time hours and leave the dermatology place!!!!!

Wondered where you went Heather! Good luck!
No comment on question Karen since I haven't purchased gas for several years.
