Day 1724 - More Peels in the News

Greetings, Wish it were FRY-dayers! (ouch!)

Right after I did that blog about how great PEELS are nutritionally, Wendys announced that they are going to change their french fry recipe to leave the peels on...

Looking for a picture, I found these Carls Jr. Natural Cut fries - I imagine they will be similar.

The only downside I saw to the new Wendy's recipe was this...

For some reason the sodium content for their natural, sea salt fries was HIGHER than the original recipe. What??

To read more about it - check out this article. The article has a great photo on it too but I didn't want to start the blog over again with a different photo.

That picture has made me crave fries ALL DAY!! Thanks to the holiday I was able to spend the day hanging out with my baby girl. We went to the children's museum for a bit this morning...it was PACKED. Then we went home for a nap. (after a couple quick, boring errands) Then, when we got up, we met a friend for ICE CREAM!! Yummy!
I should have gotten french fries with it.

French fries and ice cream--yummy! Next time, Heather! And Karen, remember if I don't comment specifically on your blog, I still find it interesting!

Today being Veterans Day, we went to services at the High School, sponsored by the various Legion Posts, consisting of speakers and a video of soldiers defending our freedom, and the High School band playing the Star Spangled Banner, and God Bless America. Peg and Joe were with us and Peg and I shed a few tears for everyone who is sacrificing for us now and who have in the past. Afterwards we went to the "Asia" restaurant for lunch, where Brenda joined us, then Joe, Peg and I went grocery shopping.

I am thinking of William at Ft Bragg and being mindfull of and grateful for his service to our country. Thank you, William!
