Day 1655 - Hurricane Earl - Lion or Lamb?

Greetings, Bloggy Hurricane Trackers!

First - here is a cute photo of our little gift from Mother Nature - Savannah! We had SUCH a great day yesterday.

Second - it's Friday, Hooray! March in a circle chanting 'Fri-day! Hur-ri-cane! Fri-day! Hur-ri-cane!'

Sooooo - later today Hurricane Earl is supposed to blow in.

We'll see if he's mighty or mini. From the current weather channel updates, it doesn't seem like a big deal.

However - nobody is taking any chances. The waves were HUGE at Scarborough Beach yesterday.

By the time we left, the lifeguards were making announcements that nobody was allowed in the water above their waist, because the waves would knock you over even at that depth.

Some of the campgrounds on Cape Cod closed yesterday too - for safetys sake.

It's probably going to be a windy and rainy day, but we'll have a nice time at home READING, which is a perfect way to spend a rainy day.

TTFN and have a nice Friday!

Comments:
Hey family, miss you, have a good time. We'll see what happens tonight, with the storm. It's always a bit of a let down if nothing happens, but I hope nothing happens!

I agree, Marcia!

Stay safe and hopefully the storm will be a dud. I do feel sorry for all the Labor Day boaters who should NOT be out in it.

Marcia are you or will you be on Nantucket?

Raining here in Providence... Time to turn on the Weather Channel!

No I'm still on the Cape.

Gil and I are part of this wonderful vacation that Karen has been writing about, and having a great time! Some rain at noontime today, but still waiting for more rain and wind. Yes, Marcia, I hope it will be a dud! Gil and I have shared our 5th wedding anniversary today with Hurricane Earl, a quiet day with fam, reading and talking, some TV, what could be better! Tomorrow morning breakfast with four friends, then afternoon to Nordic Lodge for the "all you can eat"--Gil and I, Karen, Cheryl, Heather, Evan and Savi. Then back home Sunday morning. Word from Nephew, Luke, up at Aunt Peggy's today is that she is recovering but still very sore, and a trip to see Joe at the Nursing Home yesterday worked out smoothly. What a relief!
