Greetings, Bloggy Holiday Celebrants -

Hey - are you getting out early from work this afternoon?

I'm wondering if they'll let us out early. I have had a very busy week, so I am hoping the answer is yes. A nice LONG weekend is just the ticket, and a short week next week makes it even better.

We don't have any definite plans for the weekend, and that is just fine with me. There's always something to do, and we'll have three days to do it.

Charlie and I are thinking of taking a drive out to Amish country Saturday or Monday to see if we can get some sweet corn, tomatoes and maybe a watermelon. We have some green tomatoes in the garden, but have had only two ripe ones so far.

Blackberries should be getting ripe soon, so some blackberry picking might be in the mix as well.
