Day 1546 - Do the Electric SLIIIIIDE...

Greetings, Bloggy Cleanup Crew!

No - I was never a big line dance person, but I am sure I have done the electric slide a time or two.

Here's a photo from LAST Memorial Weekend - Savi was cleaning herself up after a cake feast. Too cute!

Heather mentioned that Savannah loves to go on the slide, and I don't blame her - it's fun!

Does anyone remember using waxed paper to buff a stainless steel slide, which made it super-fast and super-dangerous? I do, I do!

Also - who remembers how HOT those slides would get, and how the metal would burn your legs as you went down the slide? Owie! I think we tried to cook an egg on the slide once, but I don't remember what happened.

Do they still make slides like that, or did they change the surface so it wouldn't be so hot?

I don't remember the waxed paper trick to make a slide faster. What Mother's don't know! I'll have to take your word for how hot they were/are!

Hope your Monday was a good one. We have a pot luck supper mtg tonight at the WP Historical Society. I made my grapenut pie as some people like it.

They DO still have the metal slides around, and the plastic ones that are in newer parks get just as hot. They are never in shady areas, why is that? The swings are still black rubber, too. Why not white?

Glad to see Monday come to an end. Today was a loooooooong day!!
