Day 1530 - May Day! May Day!

Greetings, Bloggy Calendar Changers!

It's the Merry merry month of May...

Maybe stroll through the park one day.

First - the good news.

Dance around the Maypole singing 'May Day! May Day!' if you have a Maypole.

Does anyone have a maypole anymore?

See what Wikipedia says about Maypole dancing...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maypole_dance

Okay - enough of the good news.

Now, yell 'May Day! May Day!' for the oil spill in the Gulf.

That is really worrying me, and it feels like everyone is just waiting for it to hit before freaking out about it.

If that stuff hits the Gulf beaches and/or kills the fish and shrimp and other wildlife, that will be just terrible.

Don't forget to change your calendar - I changed mine when I left work yesterday.

Don't forget to pay your bills, and check to see if you got your tax refund yet.

TTFN and have a nice weekend!

Comments:
Yes, I remember maypoles but I don't know any place where people still do this. Each person would hold a stringer and walk around so the stringers would fully cover the pole--very colorful. And little Savi looks very cute today!

That oil spills is a terrible thing.

Have a good weekend everyone!

The best memories are Maybaskets, received by the three sisters with birthdays in May!

Hi all! We had a great day in Newport today. It was perfect weather...not hot, nice breeze. We had lunch on the beach and then walked the cliff walk. I'm burnt to a crisp (dummy) Again, made sure Savi and the kids all had their sunblock on before we left. Did I remember MINE?? Nope. Just like last year!!! I'll remember next time....

Sorry you're crispy, Heather! I am too, but just in one spot! Ha!

Tennessee is getting drowned, lots of flooding and thunderstorms here.
