Day 1433 - Too much jelly on a biscuit? What?

Greetings, Blogregation!

Yesterday we saw a sign and ad for a real estate agent.

It was posted by the side of the road, which should be an indicator... The fact that I READ it was another indicator...

It read 'So and so is just too much jelly for one biscuit!'

What on earth does THAT mean?

Charlie's interpretation - 'Must mean he's the cat's ass'. This comment was just as difficult for me to understand as the jelly and biscuit line.

The cat's ass (and I apologize for writing the 'a' word), is not a term in my vocabulary.

However, after some research, I think he's correct - that both of these terms are supposed to mean that the agent is 'superlative' at what he does.

Comments, anyone? Biscuits, anyone?

Changing subjects to the playoffs...

Are you ready for the playoff games this afternoon?

Everyone I talk to wants a different set of teams. We'll see, won't we?

Gotta go! Enjoy the playoffs and TTFN!

Comments:
Did you take that jelly picture?

The Cat's ASS is a GOOD THING???? EWWWWWWW!!! HAHA!
no plans today. Might take a drive and try to find something fun to do. Might not. =) Hope your sunday is the cat's ass.

Marcia - no, I didn't take the photo. I got the picture off the internet.

Heather - have a fun drive! We've invited some friends over to watch the playoffs with us and eat munchies!

Saturday blog: Karen, you were (and are) so cute. Who is next to you?
Never a dull moment at your house Heather!

Sunday blog--a new word in my large slang vocabulary --the "cat's ass"--that's pretty funny Charlie. Dealing with real estate agents all the time, I did recognize the meaning--but by the way, that is a very southern reference--in SF people would be thinking, like you did-- Whaaa??

Cat's Ass, from the Internet:

Urban Dictionary: A person, thing or event to be held in high regard. From the meticulous treatment and devotional attention a feline bestowes on its hindquarters. Not in wide useage.
"You look that good and can cook too? Damn if you ain't about the cats ass!"
"My co-workers and I were pondering why someone would use the phrase "that's the cat's ass" in response for something good. Last time I checked a cat's ass wasn't a very pleasant thing. So why do we use it that way and where does this saying come from? Answer: Perhaps it's a variation on the 1920s "series" that included "the cat's pajamas," "the bee's knees," etc. Someone pointed out that all of those expressions included a part of an animal's anatomy except for "cat's pajamas." (And looking at the list, "clam's garters") Maybe someone decided to correct that situation with "a cat's ass."

Our drive ended up at the children's museum again, then to South Street to visit Evan. As we drove past the bar looking for a parking spot, Evan came outside to direct us. Savi started yelling 'uncle' 'uncle'! out the window. It was so cute!! =)
