Day 1129 - No time for bloggage!

Greetings, Bloggy Twofer Tuesdayers!

I am running late, yet again...

The alarm goes off and Charlie and I just turn it off and go back to sleep!

Here's a cute photo of Savannah for you to look at, and you can talk all you want to in the comments.

I bought 'Grand Ole Opry' tickets last night for Mom and Gil's visit.

I got GREAT seats on the floor, section 2, row E, on the aisle.

There is a link to the Grand Ole Opry seating chart available if you click on the following...

Gotta Go! TTFN!

Awesome seats! so jealous! I am going to have to find a good reptile show in your area so Mike will drive us all down for a visit! I had a nice breakfast yesterday with Evan. Savi ate all her food (eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and grits from my plate) but really seemed to favor the grits this time! She wasn't a fan before. We might go to the bar later today for lunch with Evan. They have the absolute BEST chicken ceaser I've ever had. I'm addicted to their salads.... and Savi likes to see Evan. =)

Hi Everybody!

Ok, I have a funny food story. You may know we went to the Minot Maple Sugar Shack pancake breakfast with Mom and Gil last Sunday morning. You also might know that I am a vegetarian. This does figure in...they had the most amazing bacon and sausage, both looked homemade. Smelled great. I took a portion of each, thinking I would share it with Mom or Steve or Gil, The Meat Eaters.

So here is where no good deed goes unpunished. The place was so mobbed. Gil was way down the other end of the table. I gave Mom the sausage. she couldn't eat it, and calls down to Gill "Lyn took extra sausage and bacon do you want it?" Of course, NO ONE takes EXTRA, (it's a cultural thing) and everyone stops stock still and looks at me.
Needsless to say, I was embarassed.
Worse, I had to open my mouth, and say I don't even eat meat. Then I really wanted to crawl under the table.

It will be straight pancakes from now on.

I'm jealous along with Heather. I wish I could be in Nashville again, and I want to go to Fan Fair again too.

These food descriptions really make me hungry. Lyn, I can just imagine the scene. Moms can be embarassing can't they?

Great seats, Karen--we can hardly wait! Gil was saying "Just 3 wks from Thurs!" (we leave on the 16th). I'm sorry Lyn, but I laughed all the way through your description of the pancake breakfast. It sounds funny in the re-telling! Please forgive me! I saw Janice (mother of the owner) this morning at Wal-Mart. She was happy to meet you and Steve; also said they had a packed hall in the afternoon for the jigs and reels. Imagine people really dance in that little space! And last but not least, cute little face on our Savi! Imagine Savi eating grown-up food! It's pretty obvious that her mother and Uncle Evan are two of her most favorite people!

Nice comments, everyone! xxx
