Day 1121 - Monday already?

Greetings, Monday morning Blah-gers!

Monday....again....

Here's an appropriate Monday photo; poor Savi - stuck in the ball pit.

Cute outfit and shoes, Heather!

Can grownups wear white shoes and sandals yet? Is it too early in the season?

Speaking of early in the season, I already bought (on Saturday) and wore (on Sunday) a new Speedo swimsuit, purple and black. I got it at TJ Max for $16.99, and the original tag was for $80.00.

I actually have plenty of swimsuits, but some of them are still put away in the closet. Meaning, I can have another one if I want to, no matter how many I already have!

My blackberry is going off - there are two overnight jobs at work that send FOUR emails if they are having a problem, not just ONE email. Whassup with that? Gotta get someone to fix that.

Gotta go, folks! TTFN!

Comments:
Good Morning Sister!
Good morning, family and friends.

'Tis Monday indeed, and how many GREEN headaches do we have on this bright morn? Now, now, no calling out, the show must go on. Blarney.
Good Irish stock.

Speaking of Ireland, I WAS amazed when you all were there for that historic moment in time, Nancy and Mom. So Glad Iris saw it. Nevertheless, it seems fragile these days, always will be, I suppose. Bad things happenend within memory. I think the healing in the US only takes place (speaking of OUR Civil War) because the guns and the bayonetts are put aside. It takes A LONG TIME.
Steve and I ended up in a McDonalds in Montgomery last September on a Sunday, where the folks were nothing but purely astonished to see us (wrong part of town). I said "lets just go." under my breath. Steve of course, cares nothing for what anyone thinks. We stayed. They stared, my LONG BLOND HAIR like some kind of crazy flag. I was embarrassed. i think the folks knew.

And another good morning from "the Mom" (oldest, that is!) Love that picture of Savi---can't you almost tell what she is thinking, her face is so expressive! Lyn, always nice to read your newsy and informative comments--keep them coming! Karen, I hate to buy bathing suits. Mine is at least 4 yrs old. I'm most comfortable with the top/shorts style which I bet Speedo's (one e or two?) don't even make. Probably will buy one later in the Spring at LLBean--one for "the mature woman", whatever that means!

Savi always has on a cute outfit!

Speedos are not made for the mature woman but they do look good on them (tight spandex does wonders).

Lyn, your story about Montgomery reminds me of when a friend and I stopped there on the way to New Orleans, at the end of May 1968. We were in a diner and the TV was on about the campaign. George Wallace was running for President. As it was 1968, even though we were both liberals, we kept our mouths shut, especially when the waiter drawled, "I don't care what tht TV says, you're in Wallace Country now." I didn't talk at all while in Montgomery as I have that hated Yankee accent. My friend put on his best southern drawl. And in New Orleans, we told the hotel clerk we were brother and sister because they wouldn't let us stay there otherwise. Isn't that amazing?

Hi all! Mom, I DISPISE bathing suits now. I bought my 1st suit since high school, I'd guess, just the other day because we all finally joined the Y. I thought I was going to throw up. I've tried over the past couple years to buy a suit but couldn't bring myself to do it. Suits look awful, are styled awful and just fit terrible (unless you buy the $80.00 crazy expensive suits! ugh!) Savannah's suit, however, is quite adorable. I will be sure to bring my camera when we finally go to swim! =)

...to think of New Orleans as a city of strict morality, in '68, hey even the Big Easy was hard on you, Nancy. Those were the days, and not so long ago.

OK, is everybody ready? Drumroll...I'm going to be a grandmother! Will and his beloved are expecting. Just found out this morning. His words: "tell everybody!" Now I have!
