Day 1120 - Sunday Swimmage

Greetings, Blogregation!

Here is little Miss Adorable, peeking at us from under the table. She totally looks like she's up to something...

Church sign of the day (not local - I got this from the web).

It's hard to stumble when you're on your knees.

That reminds me of a former manager of mine. This is a true story, I am not making this up!

When she took the final exams for her degree, she told me that her mother planned to spend the entire exam period on her knees, praying for her.

Charlie and I spent a pleasant couple of hours with buddy Joe yesterday at the Mellow Mushroom pizza place in Franklin. Thanks, Joe! The company was great and the pizza was outstanding!

Gotta go swim! TTFN!

Comments:
For some reason, sitting underneath the high chair has become one of Savi's favorite things to do. She will sit there for the longest time just sliding around, kicking her legs on the floor, searching for fallen cheerios...ick. ha!
should be about 50 degrees today so as soon as Savi is up from her nap, we are playing outside!!!!

..it's tha sista on a Sunday, and yes that little one sure looks like she has a plan! You can see the wheels a turnin.

Now about prayer and exams, I will tell you a story of my own. The hardest courses I took in college were general and organic chemistry. I thought is was going to be a breeze, like every other science had been for me. But NO, NO NO. I actually vowed to forget everything I learned. (Just an emotional thing, mind you...)

Anyway, our first exam, the lecture hall was full, cold, dimly lit, not a sound except an occaisional SWEAR word, (no lie).
I look at my paper, I dont know the answers. For the first time, I am thrown, and I am overwhelmed. There were only about 6 questions, for a total of 150 points. NO leway.
So, I said, "God, You are the Creator of the Universe. You made these things. Help me."
I believe I was one of 2 people who got an A.
I was the ONLY person who aced the course. And one of three who aced Organic Chem. next semester.

So, I would take stock in the power of prayer!

Lyn, that's quite a prayer witness! I would be that mother praying but usually not on my knees. Savi is so cute whatever she is doing! Gil and I are going for a walk--the temp has gone over 40!

Speaking of temps, I told sister Peggy it was nippy here yesterday-she said 40's? No 40's is downright cold. It was 50's, kept me away from the St. Patrick's Day parade, what a wimp?
Lyn, congratulations on your exam! My college roommate dropped out of premed because of organic chemistry.
Also, Lyn, Trinity had a huge effect on me, causing me to become engrossed in the Troubles and to follow everything going on in Ireland. I was in Seventh Heaven being in Belfast, standing near the Parliament House at Stormont with Belfast native Iris, a few days after 8th May 2007, when Unionist leader Ian Paisley and Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness took office as First Minister and Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland. Everyone was shocked, seeing news coverage of these two enemies in the same room, shaking hands.
