Day 1119 - 'I-rish' it was green all year

Greetings, Bloggy Saints and Paddys!

Here's Savannah, sampling a couple of her birthday videos. Delicious!

It's almost St. Patricks Day (Tuesday), and there is an Irish festival in downtown Franklin today.

We are meeting buddy Joe there at 3 for a nice Irish meal - pizza at the Mellow Mushroom restaurant, which has THE BEST pizza I have had in this area.

Unfortunately, it's raining, but maybe it will clear up a bit later.

Mom - I am wearing the white scarf you gave me with green shamrocks on it!

Speaking of green, Charlie is going to need to MOW THE LAWN soon.

The grass is growing, the trees are flowering, and the forsythia bushes are blooming.

The redbud trees won't be far behind.

I just LOVE the look of spring!

Have a great Saturday, and go Irish!

Comments:
I love the look of Spring but where is it? It's supposed to warm up to 40 the next few days, so I won't complain any more! Love those pictures of Savi! I printed 3 of Savi's birthday photos and showed them this morning to Johnny and Iris, Joe and Peg when we went to a breakfast sponsored by Kiwanis that Mary Ann and Ray worked on. They think she is beautiful of course! Sounds like a fun time today in Franklin, TN!

...I'm almost too full to type. We ordered from Big Tony's. Their pasta and meatballs (eggplant for me) is AWESOME. I can't believe we ate the whole thing. Including a huge salad, 20 bucks for 2 people. delivered. Can't beat that. nice Irish meal.

I'm reading an Irish novel, Trinity, by Leon Uris. Thirty years ago I married into an Irish family, didn't I? Ah well, best forgotten.

We have crocus in bloom, no forsythia, it was in the 20's this a.m.

We had a fairly mild afternoon so Savi and I played a while in the yard. fun!! Mike should be home early in the morning...yay! He has shows every weekend till May! =(
