Day 1066 - Twofer Tuesday

Greetings, Bloggy Twofers!

Here's little Miss Savannah, playing with two (count 'em) puppies.

She looks really happy, puppies are the perfect size for her! Too bad they grow up so fast! ;-)

When Savi's mother was little, we had a menagerie over the years.

Cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, hamsters, (did we have mice too, I can't remember), fish, wounded birds, a snake I found in the cellar, and more...

That is the cutest picture, Heather!

Changing subjects - last night we went to O'Charleys for dinner (great rolls, by the way). We didn't order one, but they claim to be the only restaurant around that offers beer in a 100 oz 'beer tower'. The manager brought one out for us (so he could brag), and they are way cool! I told him he should get some blue ice fish to float in it.

Well, yesterday was a VERY busy day, and I have another one coming up.

Savi likes the puppies, but she likes their Mamma more. The puppies try to jump on her and she doesn't like that. But she DOES like trying to pick them up! Its so much fun having a house full of puppies but boy are they MESSY!!!!!

I'm sure we did have mice, Mamma. I kept whatever I could catch!

We had mice, but they were not pets! I've been glued to the TV watching the Inauguration of Barack Obama and feeling terribly proud!! Last night we had a pre-inaugural party of the local Democrats--about 100 people attended as we all congratulated each other for our efforts in getting Obama elected as well as local and state candidates. Today, I made cookies for lunch but that's all the "work" I've done. Gil is well enough to go to call Bingo tonight. Love that picture of Savi, two puppies and Elmo! How well coordinated she is sitting on her haunches! Karen the 100oz beer reminds me of that place that served an enormous pizza--is it the same place?

Karen, you should be drinking that100 oz beer instead of a foamy latte!
Tonight I am going to an "inaugural bash" in my neighborhood at a Mexican restaurant (part of the reason is an excuse to drink Magaritas)--after that I'm going to zone out watching CNN and the parade I missed. I woke up at 5:45 a.m. and was glued to the TV until I left for work about 10:15. Exciting stuff!
