Day 1064 - Monday minus one

Greetings, Blogregation!

Church sign of the day: God's Tests are 'Open Book'.

Here's Little Miss Savannah with HER baby girl (doll). Heather thinks dolls are creepy, but she says Savannah loves it. Just stay away from clowns, yes?

What will we name the baby doll? Baldy looks about right... How about 'Rocky Top'? Just kidding.

I am still not sure of Savi's hair color - light brown or reddish?

Changing subjects - I asked Charlie to tell me a story from his days as a math teacher at a private school.

Here's one of them...

Charlie came in to his class a little late one day.

One of the boys was at the blackboard, doing a fair imitation of Charlie teaching class.

Charlie entered the room, and the boy tried to quickly take his seat...

Not quick enough, though! Charlie asked the boy to return to the blackboard, and told him HE would be teaching class that day. Of course, the boy was dreading that.

Charlie sat at his desk and coached the student through the entire class. He did pretty well.

At the end, he told him he did a good job, and gave him a couple of bonus points for his effort. The boy was relieved (he thought he was going to end up being punished), and the rest of the class was jealous of the extra credit.

Charlie said NOBODY was ever up in front of class imitating him again. It worked!

Gotta go swim, now. Hope your favorite team has good luck today in the football playoffs!

Comments:
It's amazing to me how Savi knows to hug and kiss a baby. She's carrying around similar things now doing the same, like her Elmo. How did she learn that? She doesn't see other girls carrying baby dolls, she can't see ME carrying HER? How do they just KNOW?

Now that she's got the walking down pat, she's trying very hard to talk. She says Mamamamama and Dadadadada and lots of gurgling kind of things. She woke up at 1am singing to me. Pretty funny.

Wow, Charlie, that was bold, and clever. These were adults, or college age, or what?

Hi Marcia - Charlie taught high school boys.

We need more teachers like Charlie!

OK I screwed up again--not anonymous.
