Day 870 - Charlie to the rescue - Or - get the ear plugs!

Greetings, Bloggy Twofers!

Just a quick bloggage before I leave for work.

Here's a true story from yesterday, sorry I missed it...

Charlie was in our back field picking blackberries (which are wonderful this year).

All of a sudden the girls next door started SCREAMING and crying for all they were worth.

Their horses panicked and ran. Their mother came running to see who was hurt.

Charlie, worried, also hurried over to see what was wrong.

He found their mother holding her hand over her heart, saying 'They scared me to death!'. Charlie asked 'What was it? What's wrong?'

The girls mother, exasperated, said 'Our DOG was after the CAT. That's all.'

Charlie said those girls were so loud - shrieking and crying, and so distressed he thought something terrible had happened. We mothers call that 'DRAMA'. Nobody can turn it on and off like little girls.

TTFN!

Comments:
I have a feeling I'll be hearing that very same shriek...we went kitten hunting today for Jen. She wants her own pet...went to the ASPCA and the Cranston shelter...so many cuties but not the right one yet!
Lots to do tomorrow. Savi gets her '4 month' shots, have a meeting at the hospital to determine where Dad will be transfered in 2 weeks, taking Jen to her friends again, and shopping, then sleep! Today was my 'day off!' yay!

Karen, yes I've heard a few girl shrieks from 11yr old Allie this week! And I somehow neglected to mention yesterday the beautiful and artistic, as you said, photo of our lovely Savi!! Heather you are getting to be such a photographer! Today was hot--up to 92--so we went to the library this morning, and grocery shopping, also the kids thought it pretty cool to see the Bingo equipment Gil was setting up at the Legion Hall, then to see "Wall-E" in the late afternoon (cute movie, the kids liked it, and I slept through part of it!). Tomorrow hot again, so we're waiting until Thurs to go to the Wild Animal preserve in Gray.
