Day 868 - The Holiday Weekend is almost gone!

Greetings, Blogregation!

As seen on a church sign down the street...

We run on "higher power" fuel!'

That's a good one!

Charlie and I are going to enjoy our last day of the holiday weekend by:
  1. Going to the health club to swim.
  2. Catching the morning matinee of 'Hancock', which we are REALLY looking forward to seeing.
  3. Going out for lunch somewhere after the movie.

Hope you enjoy your weekend plans! TTFN!

Tell me how the movie is!!!! Happy Sunday everyone!

So here's my story for the 4th etc., comin to ya in this belated fashion dear Sister since I've barely had time to breathe nevermind blog for ya. Yaz...

My 4th was a Murphy's law sort of day, when I walked in to work expecting a pot o' gold at the end of a rainbow sort of day. MY problem.
As it happened, I got my pot o' gold, WILL was home for a surprise visit when I got home. He's still here.

We all had an awesome time last night at the PawSox, the farm team for the Red Sox. They played the IronPigs (Pennsylvania?) who is the farm team for I don't know who...Clay Bucholtz(sp) pitched - he's the kid who pitched the no hitter at the end of last season with the Red Sox. Too bad he gave up 4 runs in the 2nd inning last night. Pawsox lost 6-2.

Then we saw the GREATEST fireworks show I have ever seen. It went on and on. And they were so close!!! We had special tickets (with a group) for a cookout, the game and then fireworks on the feild...regular tickets had to watch from the seats. The fireworks were right above us, and there was glorious music. Will, Charles, Corinne, Chris, Steve, Dee, Samantha, Carl (Sam's boyfriend), Gabby and her friend and Steve's sister's family were all there. It was AWESOME and so much fun!

We do this every year if anyone wants to go...let us know! Steve gets the tickets.

I saw your old friend Marian at the game... She says there is now an Elgin reunion every year. I told her to let me know for next year so you could go. She told me Rocco passed away. Sorry to tell you. But it was great to see her. Saw her brother Billy too. He kept trying to get everybody to cheer. Funny guy.

Hi Lyn - I had heard about Rocco already. Glad Will could make it home - did he go to Maine at all?

I might have gone to school with Billy - I remember him, anyway.

Nope, Will drove all night, slept till I got home (late) from work, then opted to spend the 4th with Charles at a band party. Then there was the 5th with us, and today he got his tire fixed after a run. Now he's out with a friend at the beach. Nice life!

He'll be back for a proper visit later this month - 2 weeks. (!)

New Picturesssssssssss

Good to hear from all of you, and a special Hello to Will! Our Sunday ended with lobsters and steamers at Uncle Ray and Aunt Mary Ann's--over 20 in attendance--too late tonight to mention all who were there as nobody will read this anyway! Love you all, and I am reminded when we were all together at Thanksgiving! We're having a really good time having Emily, Allison, and Timmy here--tiring but good!

I read it, Grammy ;)
