Day 857 - Take me home, it's half past wine thirty!

Greetings, Bloggy Midweekers!

Here is a photo of the main attraction at Fall Creek Falls.

See those 'specks' at the bottom of the falls? Those are PEOPLE.

Click on the photo to make it bigger, by the way.

As I was saying yesterday, we had a wonderful day of sightseeing and hiking, went to the nature center, had snacks at a picnic table, etc.

When we were almost back to the condo, we detoured a bit to go find some fishing lakes near where we were staying.

Our detour took longer than we thought it would. The map was poor, the scale was wrong. We got worried about our gas supply and stopped for gas. We couldn't find one of the roads that led back to a beach, even though we could SEE it from a distance.

Anyway - before too long, there was some serious whining (pleading) going on to go home for happy hour. 'It's half-past wine thirty!' declared Charlie.

We all agreed. It was time to go in for the night. We didn't even play cards or dominos, just relaxed from that point on.

TTFN and have a nice Wednesday!

Comments:
happy wednesday! another exciting day in savannahland! we have lots of errands to run as usual. nothing too fun but it keeps us busy!

another amazing picture today. that is such a beautiful place! Charlie comes out with the funniest stuff...love that wine thirty!

Fall Creek Falls--sounds like a great place to visit, except for the detour! Sounds like baby Savannah enjoys all of the coming and going! Heather, Aunt Mary Ann and I returned to Lyn and Steve's on Monday night (thank you again for your hospitality, dear children!) and it was really hard to leave for home on Tues AM without another visit to you and little Savi! Hope Steve G. is continuing to improve. When I got home, Gil had finished the living room, and the natural birch floor is so beautiful (it was covered all these many years with wall to wall), and the ceiling and walls freshly painted. It's like a totally new room. Very nice! San Diego and La Jolla were interesting places to visit, and we were all proud of Eric's accomplishment, now a graduate of UCSD! More tomorrow.

Beautiful photos, Karen. I'm with Charlie on that one.

Peggy, over the weekend you remember I was making fun of the renovations--didn't remember you were putting in a birch floor! I'm sure it is beautiful.

Nancy, Not putting in a birch floor--taking off the wall to wall carpet that was covering this beautiful floor, and refinishing it!
