Day 792 - Nice weekend, but it's Monday!
Greetings, Monday Morning Blah-ghers!It's Monday but we had such a nice weekend I don't even care...
Looky here - it's Charlie, at the bottom of the Stillhouse Hollow Falls waterfall. Remember I posted a picture of it a week or two ago?
We drove out there and hiked the trail yesterday. You can choose whether to hike down just to the top of the falls, or keep going to the bottom of the falls.
It's easy enough going DOWN, although pretty steep. We also had to cross a stream by stepping on rocks, (effortless for Charlie with his long legs, but not quite as easy for me).Anyway - it was a beautiful day in the low 70's, and we had a great time. There were so many wildflowers in bloom and all the trees are getting leaves.
I can feel it in my calves just a bit this morning - evidently I don't do enough uphill climbing IN THE POOL...
Ha! Ha!

Sounds like a lovely time yesterday, and yes, I'm sure your calves are hurting today! Nice picture of Charlie and the waterfall! Uncle Johnny runs today in the Boston Marathon. Now that he is 65, that will be an accomplishment to finish! I'll let you know tomorrow his time. We're off to the big city of Lewiston/Auburn for a few errands. As Emily says at the end of her email "g2g"!

Glad to see you and Charlie out of the pool and into the wild! I recognized that waterfall. Someday Savilynn will hike the waterfall

Haha! Yes, the baby is ready to hike and see that beautiful waterfall! Looks awesome...a good workout!
