Day 779 - Heigh Hopes, Heigh Hopes...
Greetings, Twofer Tuesdayers!
I made it through my first day back at work.
This is little Savannah sleeping on Great Grammy Peggy's lap.
She said her mother used to do that. Since her mother (my grandmother) was an expert at raising children, it's worth mentioning!
Well, I looked in the mirror this morning and saw all seven dwarfs:
Sleepy
Dopey
Saggy
Baggy
Grumpy
Wrinkly, and
Blotchy
Those are the right names, aren't they? (giggle)
I didn't sleep well last night and boy it shows!
Have a nice Tuesday, everyone!

Good Morning Dear Sister,
I DID sleep last night, for the first time in a LONG time, till about 4am, anyway. So nice when sheer exhaustion sets in, and finally takes over.
I was flipping around the nightly news stations last night, and ABC had a segment on the sleep patterns of young children. They said that not getting 12 hours in early childhood can have health consequences - they just kept saying: "can make them fat!" and showed the parents sticking a bottle into the toddler's mouth. They heavily emphasized the blame on the poor stressed out parents.
I think it was Dr. Marks who told me that after eight mos., "let the baby develop his own comfort habits."
That Savi is sure looking good, Heather! Imagine, Christopher being that same size at birth? He really was almost exactly that, 9.7lbs, and 22 inches long. But, he was about 3 weeks overdue, maybe even 4.
When I was at work yesterday, Steve missed Savi!

It's great to see little Savilynn growing right on the blog!
I remember Christopher was a big baby, so adorable! Now tall, slim and still adorable.
For interested blogees who don't know, Karen's grandmother raised 13children and I am # 13--at that point she had perfected her skills to create the perfect child (ha!!)

Karen, I think you're having grand baby withdrawal! Everyone except Heather and Mike are feeling it! (Well everyone who spent last week with SaviLynn.) Another beautiful picture! Yes, my mother would rock us to sleep on her knees, but probably we would not stay there very long with all the work she had to do! Yes, Nancy, you were the perfect #13!
And yes, Lyn, Dr. Marks was very wise.
