Day 598 - Thursday and Survivorage!

Greetings, Bloggy Survivors of the work week!

It's Thursday already and I take one step ahead and two steps back. I really need to get CLOSURE on some tasks at work and make progress on others.

It was FORTY-ONE degrees this morning, we are having a blast (finally) of cool weather. We are actually ready for it, the heat this summer has been too much.

Here it is, mid October, and some seasonal weather might be a nice change from 80's and 90's. I went to the health club yesterday afternoon and there were still people outside on the lounge chairs, tanning in the sun.

We have changed our Thursday Survivor Pizza night to Survivor Chili night, and CHARLIE is the one who makes the chili every week.

Gee - that means Monday night dining out and Thursday night chili, those are TWO out of seven days that I don't cook! Hey, that's not bad!

Charlie was (kidding) complaining yesterday - 'I don't know about this retirement stuff, I never get a day off!' HA!

Gotta rock and roll, folks - have a nice Thursday and TTFN!

Comments:
Haha Charlie. Poor thing is just worked to death! We've got some icky weather this week...wet and chilly. I want it to be friday now! xoxo

Friday can wait...my only day on since Sunday and Monday. A 3 day work week may sound like a great deal, but the way we work, its like a 16 hour day crammed into 8 and that's no lie.

ANYWAY, yep, I ended up eating spaghetti last night. Don't know if it was Prince, cause it was left over from Mainelli's take out...Calamari with a side of pasta and a salad after Steve won a GRAND at the casino. Lucky lucky man. I was too tired Monday after 4 shifts in a row to go out to eat.
I will say that here in the Northeast, a side of pasta with sauce will feed a family of four.

Today is Charles' birthday! 23 years old. What a sweetheart he is. Thanks, Karen, for the card, it came yesterday. I'll pass it along.
Have a fun Survivor night!!!
PS, Thanks, Nancy for the nice things you said on yesterday's blog. After today, "birthday season" will be done - first Will, then Christopher, then Charles! Gee, nine months after the holidays. Hooray for the holidays!

I forgot about that. Saw Charles on the road and attempted to say Happy Bday while driving...I'm quite sure he had no idea what I was saying to him...haha! give him a big hug for me! xoxoxo

Lyn, what are the ages of Will and Christopher?

Charlie so good of you to cook Chili for Survivor night while those poor souls would kill for chili!
